Carcinoma endometrium is a common gynecological cancer, with laparoscopic approaches being a safe and effective management option. Lymph node status is important for prognosis and treatment planning, but conventional pelvic and infrarenal para-aortic lymphadenectomy is associated with complications. Sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping with indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence has emerged as a promising alternative for reducing surgical morbidity while maintaining prognostic value and advantages of a laparoscopic surgery. This technique provides real-time functional imaging, making it a useful tool for on co-surgery.
